Basement Wall Crack Repair
Angled and vertical cracks in walls are usually caused by heaving, where horizontal cracking is likely from lateral pressure of the soil against the wall. Seasonal and climatic changes can cause problems with your foundation also. Hydrostatic pressure, expansive soil or other problems may cause bowed, buckled or cracked walls. Rebuilding the wall is not always an option, and generally does not solve the problem. Installing an anchor system into the wall will not only repair the problem, but will cost less than trying to replace it.
Foundation and Brick Wall Repair
Installation is usually completed in a matter of days without much, if any, disturbance to the landscaping. The process is simple: A steel anchor rod is inserted horizontally through the wall into the outside earth. A steel anchor is then attached to the rod through a hole in the ground. The rod is connected to the anchor plate and tightened until the pressure of the solid soil is pulled to tighten the failing wall. If there is a patio, deck or sidewalk in between the failing soil and the anchor hole, that is not a problem.
